Fabrics and Care
Our fabrics
Merino + Tencel
We love using natural fibers. Our blend of New Zealand merino and tencel takes everything that’s great about merino and makes it even better. It feels super-soft on your skin with top performance to boot. This amazing fabric is stronger, wicks moisture more rapidly and dries faster than 100% merino. What’s more it keeps you smelling sweet, even after the toughest ride. Happy days!
Fabric care
Merino Blends
Always check the care label first. Use a gentle machine wash in cold water with environmentally friendly liquid wool detergent. Line dry if you can, or tumble dry on low.
Do not soak or wash woollen garments using laundry powders. Most laundry powders contain whiteners which act like bleach. There are some ‘eco-whiteners’ that may still bleach your garment, creating light spots and holes. If the garment is stained use a gentle stain remover soap and gently rub into the affected area before washing. Never soak your merino garments as this can damage the wool fibres.
Merino is a natural fibre and not treated with synthetic coatings, so it may pill. Don’t worry, this is a natural process. Areas of friction, like bags rubbing, can cause short fibres to collect on the surface. Once removed they will disappear.
